Fodder Beet Thunder [71000]

Fodder Beet Thunder

Beta vulgaris mangelwurzel

Grow a good robust crop of Fodder Beet as a supplement or alternative to grass, then in autumn and early winter you’ll have a fantastic crop than can be used while the grass is in its slower growing cycle. This is a good summer crop but can be started off as early as August or September in some areas. Don’t plant until your last frost has been.

Perfect for the chooks and even your house cow! Those of you with rabbits may also consider giving it a go. I'm sure the pigs will be offering squeals of delight too, if they get a chance to wander through. Both leaf and bulbs are an excellent food source, keeps on growing until the plant starts to seed. Perfect for those of you who have that extra bit of land.
