Schizanthus Angel Wings [39975]

Schizanthus Angel Wings

Schizanthus wisetonensis

Bushy plants have fern-like foliage and are perfect for a small border, however they do enjoy semi-shade as opposed to full sun. Also great for some delightful colour splashes in the shady (cooler) part of the garden or in dappled light under some larger shrubs or tree canopies

Angel Wings has spotted flowers in shades of cream, pink, violet, blue and rose. When growing Schizanthus, the best thing you can do is provide is an early start and mostly cool weather, so begin your plants indoors about three months before your last anticipated frost date in the spring. Then in cooler regions of NZ, once late spring or early summer arrive, it's time to pop your plants out in a semi-shaded location. They will also benefit if protected from strong winds and extreme weather attacks. Schizanthus will stop producing once the heat of summer sets in. Also a great container plant.
