New to the market this year iStem® is similar to growing broccolini in that it has a central cauliflower curd with multiple side stems.

Each plant can yield up to 10 stems per plant, with 2-3 stems coming through on the first harvest, followed by successive sets coming through.  Removing the central curd has little effect on stem production and most growers prefer to leave it on and add to their harvest.
